A high arched ceiling and simple walls are pretty plain for a wedding. Brighten the walls and the room and pull together your color by renting wireless uplighting and a rental monogram light.

A lot of venues like vineyards are amazing outdoors and offer a great cocktail hour experience but their reception spaces can be somewhat plain. Lighting is the lowest cost option to transform the space for your wedding and make it completely personalized.

Simple walls are enhanced with a monogram and a purple uplighting.

Even with daylight in the room the uplights did a great job pulling together the bride and groom’s colors and creating the perfect ambiance for their wedding.

Ben and Sara Monogram – Mount Ida Farm – Charlottesville, VA

monogram wedding reception lighting mount ida farm

Mount Ida Farm in Charlottesville, VA is a beautiful wedding venue and it was the perfect fit for a wedding for Ben Erwin and Sara Gwinn.

Sara is a very talented print and graphic designer so it was great working with her and getting a beautiful design to showcase at her wedding. The monogram was completely her design and captured the feeling of their personality and the personality of the venue and the urban barn feel that they created.

We used uplighting that started off amber earlier in the wedding reception and changed over to purple later in the evening. Texture lighting was used on either side of a massive 20ft barn window door that was flanked on either side by white drape. We designed the texture lighting to incorporate design elements that Sara had used in her monogram to plant her design element into the space re-iterating the beautiful farm vibe that was also present.

Fairmont Hotel DC – Wedding Lighting – Amber, Purple, Monogram

fairmont hotel amber and purple uplighting with monogram lightThis was from a wedding at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC. It’s a beautiful venue in the heart of Washington DC that lends itself to lighting.

Power outlets can be hard to come by to light up all the columns. Instead of running power cables all over the room we wanted to to keep the elegance and beauty of the room so we used wireless battery powered uplights. These lights don’t need power cables, are small and unobtrusive.

The wedding monogram light fit perfectly in the square panel above the dancefloor that guests were able to see as they entered the room and that we were able to hide with the shrubs already present in the room.

Wedding Monogram with Purple & Fuchsia Uplighting – Holiday Inn Key Bridge – Arlington, VA

Holiday_Inn_Uplighting_and_Monogram-Arlington_VAKristine and Rodney had a great venue to project their monogram. They had a huge head table and wanted a strong focal element to draw people into the room. We created a black and white grayscale gobo for the back wall and then used up lighting to add purple and fuchsia.

The grayscale monogram design we used for their wedding is the perfect match to contrast with the rich purples and fuchsias used with the up lights and with the rest of the room decor.

Because of the stands that we include with our rentals, we were able to project across the room and above everyone’s heads so that as people walked by they wouldn’t interfere with the projection on the wall.

The monogram design and light did a great job of filling a large space with a design that created a strong design element that not only drew people into the reception space, but tied all the design elements together.

Gobo monogram designs and lights for weddings remain one of the most cost effective ways to decorate for a wedding.
